Sonoma Raceway, recently announced that they celebrated a special occasion known as Kyle Larson day in the city of Elk Grove. This was an honorary gesture extended to the local Hendrick Motorsports driver and 2021 NASCAR Cup Series champion, Kyle Larson.

The gesture became a practice when Larson returned after being crowned the champion the previous year and the tradition has kept going strong since then. Even last year, they greeted the champion back to town with a proper motorcade. Later, Sonoma Raceway also shared a few pictures marking the occasion.
