A few months ago, Kyle Larson got into major trouble for using racial slurs during an online race. Ordinarily, this would not have been such a terrible thing, but this race was broadcast to millions of viewers. Obviously, NASCAR took notice and promptly suspended him and the Chip Ganassi Racing team fired him.

Over time, he has mellowed out, and some of the NASCAR fraternity have begun to miss him. Among his supporters are former driver Tony Stewart, and Larson’s contemporary, Martin Truex Jr. Recently, Truex Jr spoke to CBS about Larson and admitted that he would love to see him back in action.

He said, “I really would like to see Larson back. He’s obviously one of the most talented drivers in any racing period. He belongs in the Cup Series with the best drivers in the world.”

For the moment, Martin Truex Jr is focusing on this weekend’s race at the Richmond International Speedway. In addition to that, he is keen to stay alive in the playoff battle for as long as possible.
