The ARCA Menards Series West witnessed history in the making at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. As it turns out, 19-year-old Gracie Trotter registered her maiden win in the series.

She became the first female driver to win an ARCA-sanctioned race. Now that win has emboldened her to reach new heights in her budding NASCAR career.

“I want to close out the year with some more wins,” she said.“I think we can go out and win (the last three). Third in points right now, so I’m hoping to execute on that and gain some more points.”

She currently sits third in the ARCA Menards Series West championship, behind Jesse Love and Blaine Perkins. When she spoke about her title aspirations, the teenager admitted that she is hoping that Love gets a couple of poor races.

Some minor setbacks for Love would really help her claw her way to an advantageous position and clinch the championship lead. Gracie Trotter also admitted that she would love a Bill McAnally Racing (BMR) 1-2-3 finish in the points championship.

How did Gracie Trotter win her maiden race?

Admittedly, this win was not a flash in the pan kind of performance. All throughout the season, she has never finished lower than 7th, which was on two occasions. Other than that, she has consistently been featuring in the Top-5, so an eventual win was never far away.

Trotter will be glad to finally get the monkey off her back and have a win to her name. She confessed that the feeling did not hit her for a while and it felt quite surreal. What makes this feat even more incredible is the fact that this is her debut season in the ARCA Menards Series West.

Aside from Sam Mayer winning the first race, Love and Perkins shared race wins between themselves. That lasted until Trotter decided to spoil the party. It is also worth noting that when she referred to a BMR 1-2-3, she also referred to teammate Gio Scelzi. Scelzi is currently lying in 4th place and is yet to score a win.
