It’s no wonder fans are tired of NASCAR drivers issuing threats on their radio and then not doing anything or at least, living even half up to their words. Now the latest driver on this list spearheaded by Denny Hamlin is Ryan Blaney.

The Team Penske driver, well, let’s just say, had a moment with Hendrick Motorsports driver William Byron during the Round of 8 playoff race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

This made Blaney livid.

He was so mad that he didn’t mince his words one bit over his radio as he said, “I am going to start wrecking every mother f***er I get to. Tell’em all that.”

But the fans weren’t buying Blaney’s threats. Instead, most of them were convinced he wouldn’t do it as some even went on to make fun of him.

Ryan Blaney won’t cut anybody “any breaks” when it matters the most

In an interview leading up to the start of the NASCAR Playoffs, Ryan Blaney had emphasized on the importance of knowing when to and when not to be ‘the good guy’ in the room, especially in the pool of the playoffs where every driver is both a shark and a goldfish.

“It’s always kinda been a tricky scenario, especially when the playoffs come. It’s a fine line. You’re all racing and every point matters, even if they’re teammates or not,” he said. “But it does get tougher deeper in the rounds.”

“I don’t think you’ll cut anybody any breaks.”

Knowing this and hearing what he said after the Byron incident at Vegas, is it possible that Ryan Blaney would see no goal in sight but a win by any means in the coming races?

One gets the feeling he will, considering what’s on the line.

But if the popular opinion is to go by anything, perhaps he’ll bow down silently, as ‘apparently’ all NASCAR drivers do nowadays.
