Admittedly, there is a small problem because NASCAR has yet to release the 2022 Cup Series schedule. According to some sources, it could take around four to six weeks before the full schedule drops. Some even suggest that NASCAR officials could reveal the schedule by late August.

Of course, we are still in the middle of the 2021 season and four races away from the Playoffs. If the predictions are correct, then the 2022 calendar could see the light of day before the first Playoff race.

What to expect from the 2022 NASCAR Cup season?

As mentioned before, the 2022 season will see the Next Gen cars race each other for the first time. This is going to be an important year for everyone.

This is because the drivers will have to get used to the new cars and new regulations. Over the past couple of years, NASCAR has been hard at work on these cars.

In 2022, the fruits of their labor could potentially pay off in the long run. However, the sport and the drivers do have to see out the remainder of the 2021 season first.

The officials know that this will be the final season under the old regulations and they will want to go out on a high note. Until then, the NASCAR Cup Series drivers will be competing fiercely for the 2021 Cup Series championship.
