All throughout the past couple of years, NASCAR has been hard at work on the Next Gen cars. Now, the latest reports suggest that the sport is expecting the Next Gen chassis’ to be delivered to the Cup teams soon. This comes on the back of a data review from a June 30 crash test at the Talladega Superspeedway.

Evidently, NASCAR was happy with the results from the test. So, they have green-lit the process of building and delivering the Next Gen car. Obviously, the drivers will be keen to drive the car specs that will debut next season.

According to the officials, the Next Gen car’s crash testing had a “good and comparable performance.” As per their assessment, the results were much better than the crashes involving non-Next Gen cars.
