While everyone celebrates Ross Chastain’s video game move at Martinsville, there were a few drivers who had nothing but bitterness for the Florida man. Earlier, Joey Logano and Kyle Larson had hoped that NASCAR would go on to ban the move made by the watermelon man in the final lap of the race. However, later, Dave Moody of Sirius XM Radio shut their argument down.

Dave Moody said, “NASCAR’s Steve O’Donnell on @RossChastain final lap: “We’ve seen similar attempts, but never successfully. (It was) certainly within the rules.” No indication of any interest in outlawing similar moves. “We don’t think it’s right to change the rules after 35 races.”

Larson had earlier stated that there should be a rule to prevent such maneuvers from ever taking place again. His main argument is that “It’s just a bad look.” Logano also reiterated Larson and called for a change of rules as he thought that drivers across Cup, Xfinity, and Truck might now choose to try the same move and that might be dangerous.

But what can be said about NASCAR, just weeks ago did they alter the rules to help out Hendrick Motorsports driver William Byron? The organization might pull off something similar and there is no policing in it too. Perhaps there could be a chance that this would be an exclusive one and only Ross Chastain’s big-brain move.

Moreover, the drivers calling for a ban also argue how they could not do such a thing earlier in the championship and hence called it unfair. Guess, if Larson or Logano did that stunt, they would not be calling for a ban!
