Earlier, the NASCAR Truck race concluded with Stewart Friesen winning. However, the real story came from fourth-placed Carson Hocevar. As it turned out, he swapped out his name sticker on his truck for a sticker bearing his girlfriend’s name. He did it as a tribute to her, as she was diagnosed with stage 4 Hodgkins Lymphoma.

Suffice to say, several fans were really thrilled to see the beautiful gesture. They all acknowledged that it was a wonderful move by Hocevar and offered to pray for her. In addition to that, they hoped that she would eventually pull through and recover. There were also plenty of fans who were sharing stories of beating Hodgkins Lymphoma or people they knew who were battling it.

How did Carson Hocevar perform in the NASCAR Truck race?

Admittedly, 4th place was a bit of a miracle, as his truck was loose all day. In all, he had been enjoying a great 2022 Truck Series season with three Top 5 finishes including this weekend’s result; he scored back-to-back 2nd place finishes at Bristol and Darlington.

Now, the 19-year-old will be looking ahead to the coming races. Without a doubt, he will hope to reach Victory Lane this season. If he does, we can be sure that Hocevar will want to dedicate it to his girlfriend as she battles the disease. Naturally, it will be a hard fight for her, but the Niece Motorsports driver will try his hardest to be there for her.
