Everyone found it quite nice that Chase Elliott made an appearance in the FOX Sports booth as he recovers from his accident, which has indefinitely sidelined him from NASCAR. Elliott gave some great insights as he watched the recent Cup race at the Circuit of The Americas alongside Clint Bowyer, Mike Joy, Kurt Busch, and Guenther Steiner.

However, there was something towards the end of Elliott‘s stint in the booth which would’ve gone unnoticed if not for some very observant NASCAR fans.

It was a prank by someone from the FOX Sports staff, which many fans found rather hilarious afterward.

As Chase Elliott was saying his goodbyes to the rest of the FOX Booth after the race ended, one of the screens in the background started displaying a message, which was definitely not part of their coverage or their broadcast plan.

The screen read, “HI MOM,” and if one of the fans who noticed it is to be believed, “Some Fox Intern Is Gonna get Fired.”

This message, regardless of how it will be taken by FOX, was taken pretty hilariously by the fans as their reactions proved.

“I think that’s hilarious,” one fan reacted while another took a jibe at FOX and said, “best effort they’ve put into production all year.” One fan was of the opinion that, “Isn’t that what you’re supposed to do, if ever given the opportunity?”

A couple of fans completely disagreed with the firing part as they claimed the outcome could be the opposite for whoever was responsible for this.

“Fired? You mean hired and promoted,” one of them wrote while another demanded, “Give whoever did that a raise.”
