Roots Insurance, the common sponsor between NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace and INDYCAR driver and seven-time Cup Series champion, Jimmie Johnson, recently held a promotional friendly contest between the two.

Both drivers were asked a question, and whoever was better amongst the two on that particular subject got a point.

The questions ranged from, who has better facial hair, who is a better musician, who has more championships (duh), to who is a better driver off the race track.

The contest itself ended in a tie with both drivers getting 5 points each. However, NASCAR fans weren’t happy with the result and demanded a re-match between the two in the reactions.

Will Bubba Wallace also follow in Jimmie Johnson’s career path with his team?

Jimmie Johnson spent all of his Cup Series career driving for Hendrick Motorsports until his retirement. Bubba Wallace on the other end, found his way into 23XI Racing tea, with whom he recently signed a long-term deal.

And if Wallace is to be believed, he wants to stay in the Michael Jordan-Denny Hamlin outfit, for a long time, for a very long time. Speaking after the announcement of his renewal, the #23 driver opened up on the mutual commitment between him and his team.

“I want to make this a super-long-term deal. I’d love to retire here — hopefully retirement’s not until like 10, 15 years down the road – but that was that was my goal from day one,” he said.

Wallace described how 2022 has been, in his opinion, his best year so far in the Cup Series, one in which they’ve continuously made strides to improve and get better.

“I’ve definitely enjoyed the time and glad that we can keep it going,” he added.
