During turn one, after the final restart of the race, Kyle Larson gunned for the lead, and in the process, Elliott was seemingly forced off track, which further made him lose track positions.

On the other hand, Larson stormed off into the distance and later on took the win. In the aftermath of the race, Elliott seemed to be fuming in regard to his loss while speaking to Rick Hendrick and Jeff Gordon of Hendrick Motorsports.

During the first interview, right after the race, Larson stated that he was not proud of what he had done, but argued that it was his only opportunity to push for the lead and win the race. He also stated that Chase would understand if he was in his shoes.

However, later on, another clip emerged that showed Larson being over apologetic towards Elliott. He stated, “We all had an open conversation in the competition meeting yesterday, as we do every week to talk about previous race weeks, so yeah, I mean it was positive it was constructive, It was good to have those talks.”

He then added, “One thing for sure we all like to win, so in the end, I probably should have a little bit more respect next time.
