If we’re being honest, we should have seen this coming, as the entire race weekend was plagued with weather delays. So NASCAR should have anticipated this, and now they have earned the wrath of many drivers, including Denny Hamlin.

He said, “All I can say is better officiating. That’s all that we can do. Like New Hampshire, just learn from this, I’m sure. I knew it was raining down the front, it’s just what we got.”

Others believed that he was only whining because he was leading at the time, and a stoppage could have resulted in a win.

Some observed that Hamlin and Daniel Suarez reported that it had been raining for a whole lap, and others said that it rained just before the crash.

One thing is for sure, a fair number of fans tried to paint him as a big villain. Having said that, it was a very nasty wreck, and a number of drivers visited the infield medical center.

Hamlin was one of them, as he received an almighty whack during the impact. Fortunately, it seems like everyone was able to walk away in one piece and without any lasting injury.
