Denny Hamlin apparently helped a drunk fan get home in his car, but the man seemed to have left his cooler backpack full of beer in the trunk of Hamlin’s car. So Hamlin took to Twitter to post a hilarious Tweet offering to return his items.

A fan posted a picture on their Twitter account stating, Shout out to Denny Hamlin for giving a drunk guy a ride last night at Watkins Glen International. It was much appreciated and good luck in today’s race.

Just a few minutes later, Hamlin retweeted the image saying, I have your backpack full of beer in the back of my truck. DM me and I’ll get it to you.

Fans couldn’t contain their laughter at the ongoing beer situation between Hamlin and the fan and commented their thoughts on Hamlin’s Tweet.

It’s not every day a NASCAR driver offers to drop off the alcohol you left behind in their car. However, one such individual got very lucky with his case.

Fans said that they were jealous that they did not get the opportunity to find Denny while they were drunk, while others stated that it was really good of Hamlin to help out this intoxicated individual.

The drunk fan later got to directly message Hamlin via Instagram and probably would have gotten his backpack back by now. Sadly, the luck wished by the fan was not enough for Denny Hamlin, as the Joe Gibbs Racing drivers could only muster a P20 at the Watkins Glen.

In the end, it was Kyle Larson who drive to victory lane after making a controversial move on teammate Chase Elliott at the restart. Was the move justified, especially considering that it was on a teammate, who arguably lost a few places because of it?
