Just like Formula One has its very own “Grill the Grid” session, NASCAR attempted to do one of those with some of the Cup Series drivers. The short clip on YouTube featured cringe memes and a confused-looking Chase Elliott among other drivers.

In the video, fans saw a few drivers being asked to draw the track layout for Road America. Kyle Larson was the only one to get close enough to the real thing. Meanwhile, Chase Elliott drew something more like Silverstone before saying, “My proportion got wrong.” Todd Gilliland, just straight out, said that he had never seen this place before.

The funny thing was the timing of this video, considering Road America isn’t even on the calendar for next year. And this year’s race has already been completed. While most fans seemed to enjoy the clip, others showcased their displeasure towards drawing a removed track.

One user said, “Too bad NASCAR isn’t likely to keep Road America on the schedule.” While the second said, “Great timing since it was dumped”. Yet another said, “Why lost it now, especially since that Road America will be dropped next year.”

This year NASCAR fans saw Tyler Reddick pick up the flag to come home for a win in his Richard Childress Racing number 8 car. Road America was certainly an amazing track, both for racing and high fan turnouts. But with the addition of the first-of-its-kind street race, officials had to let go of this one.
