Brad’s brother Brian Keselowski had posted on Twitter about the deteriorating state of health of their father.

His message on Twitter read, “It is with profound sadness and a broken heart to inform everyone that my dad, Bob Keselowski is nearing the end of his amazing, fast paced life. He has battled Cancer for the past 2 years and he fought the good fight as hard as he could.”

Unfortunately, there isn’t much more fight left so my family and I are preparing ourselves and making sure dad is not in any pain until his time comes. Please say a prayer and keep us in your thoughts during this very difficult time.”

Several names from NASCAR showed support for the Keselowski family, including Kelley Earnhardt and Kyle Petty.

Bob Keselowski was a NASCAR winner just like his son Brad

Bob Keselowski was a major figure in the starting years of the NASCAR Truck Series.

When the series was first introduced, it was known as the Craftsman Truck Series rather than Camping World Truck Series as it is known today. The senior Keselowski raced trucks all the way from the very beginning of the series in 1995 until 1999.

He finished inside the Top 10 twelve times and had one race win at Richmond.

Bob Keselowski must’ve been an idol for his son Brad with his racing career. When Keselowski junior won the 2012 Cup Series title, his father must have been incredibly proud.

More recently, Brad Keselowski took part in the ongoing testing of the Next Gen car at Charlotte. So far, we haven’t heard any comments or updates from the driver, who recently turned into a driver-owner.
