Kansas City Chiefs’ Defensive Tackle, Chris Jones, is set to fill in as the Grand Marshal, in a virtual limit, for the Super Start Batteries 400 at the Kansas Speedway this Thursday. Jones will have a simple yet one of the best jobs in motorsports. He will be telling the NASCAR drivers the most acclaimed words in the game: “Drivers, start your engines!”

Fans aren’t yet permitted to be in attendance at the Kansas Speedway. This to some degree is the reason Jones’ appearance will be virtual.

The race is the part of the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series. NASCAR is preparing to relax some safety measures, however, there will be no practice or qualifying sessions for the remainder of the races.

He further added, “We look forward to one of the NFL’s top defensive players having a role at Kansas Speedway, and we also want to wish him and the rest of the Chiefs the best of luck in defending their title in 2020.”
