Mike Stefanik, the former NASCAR driver, was inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame recently, cementing his legacy as one of the all-time greats. But due to his unfortunate passing, it was Stefanik’s wife, Julie Stefanik, who was present at the ceremony and accepted the honor. And recently, another former NASCAR driver, Carl Edwards, who was also considered for the HoF, sent Stefanik’s widow a heartwarming letter in her husband’s honor.
Stefanik posted the photo of the handwritten letter by Edwards on her Twitter account.
She wrote, “Received this awesome letter from Carl Edwards today! Racing people are the best!”

In the letter, Edwards honored Mike Stefanik and hoped his family had an idea just how much he is respected in the racing community.
“I am writing to let you know how honored I was to be considered alongside Mike for the hall. Mike was the type of racer that we all want to be; talented, tough, and able to drive anything.
I hope that you have felt how respected he is in the sport by everyone. I also hope that the events of the last week were fun for you and your s(on).
I look forward to meeting you all someday, but until then, I hope you are all well and having fun!”

Julie Stefanik got the chance to pay tribute to her husband the right way
In the lead up to the HoF ceremony, there were reports that Julie Stefanik wouldn’t be allowed to deliver the speech for her husband because of certain NASCAR regulations.
This led to a lot of criticism of the said regulation in the NASCAR community, including from some big names. But fortunately, NASCAR avoided a big embarrassment and allowed Stefanik to deliver the speech, which was the most touching speech of the night.
