Earlier this year, news broke out that NASCAR will be presenting an experimental all-electric racing series starting next year.

According to the information, the electric series will be unveiled in the latter half of next year as a part of Busch Light Clash at the Coliseum in Los Angeles. And it will consist of two 30-minute races over the weekend. 12 cars with 3-4 representing the manufacturers are likely to feature in the speculated event.

With respect to that, the spotter, Brett Griffin, in a recent episode of the Door Bumper clear podcast talked about the leaked document which said that the organization is working towards a NASCAR Electric series in regard to the ARKA Menards Series.

The spotter in the podcast said, “I’ve heard that we are gonna see an electric car race at LA, heard we’re gonna see a 30-minute electric car race.”

He then added, “I wouldn’t be mad if the ARCA series went away and become an electric car series. Because right now I enjoy watching racing, spotting on ARCA race? hell no!”

“But I wouldn’t mind seeing it transform into something that’s relevant because right now it’s becoming irrelevant. Well, that’s where I’m at on it.” Griffin said in the end.

What’s wrong with NASCAR’s ARCA Menards Series?

Well, it’s no big news how ARCA has fallen over the years.

NASCAR amateur drivers fail miserably on the professional track. That’s what ARCA is about now. And it was no surprise that the spotter in the podcast was blunt about this ARCA series.

Although with the way ARCA was falling financially in 2018, NASCAR stood up and bought the solution for ARCA. 2020 is the first season in which NASCAR sanctioned ARCA.

Even the ARKA Menards Series Rookie of the Year, Hailie Deegan in 2020 complained about the dying competition as well as her career.
