Now that his future is secured after a seemingly long period full of speculations and uncertainty, Kyle Busch is now beginning to open up on his true feelings for Joe Gibbs at this point.

The future Richard Childress Racing driver had recently spoken quite candidly about how he was let down by his soon-to-be ex-boss, Joe Gibbs.

Now, whether that’s true or not, only the ones who really know, know, but this was something that didn’t really sit well with Brett Griffin. In fact, the spotter recently opened up on Busch playing a role he shouldn’t really be playing in front of the media.

“If I were offered an eight-figure deal, and I didn’t take it, I don’t think I would play the victim right now,” Griffin said in a recent episode of the Door Bumper Clear podcast. This led Casey Boat to question him with, “Are you saying that’s what happened?”

“I said, if I were offered a ten-million-dollar plus deal and I turned it down, I don’t think I’d be trying to play the PR victim here,” the spotter clarified.

“I said on this show…I said I bet Kyle Busch wishes he has the contract that he turned down back in front of him at this point in the year,” he continued. “Because at that point I was aware of a couple of offers that had come his way and he didn’t take them.”

In a recent episode of the Race For The Championship, Kyle Busch and his wife, Samantha Busch, opened up on the tough time they went through up until his future was resolved with RCR.

“I never thought we’d go through this,” Samantha Busch said to which her husband added, “Not from all the words that we were given, for years. Of, ‘Oh, you’re our guy. You’re our franchise.’”

The two-time NASCAR Cup champion remains unsure of what to make of the entire situation, and that in itself is something that makes it all the more worse for him.

“Whether you call it false promises or whatever, that’s the scary piece,” he described.
