Pete Pistone, the President of PSP communications at Sirius XM, recently mentioned, “Bubba Wallace could give one million dollars to “The Little Sisters of the Poor” and we would take calls criticizing him for not giving a million and one.“

Furthermore, a recurring theme in Wallace’s career is the elusive nature of victories. Just last weekend, during the final lap of the Talladega race, Wallace’s position plummeted dramatically. However, in the aftermath of the race, he demonstrated maturity by accepting responsibility for the outcome. Despite this, it did not deter the fanbase from casting blame on the 23XI Racing driver.

Bubba Wallace loses out on a chance for 3rd career win
It would have been redemption day for him as he was comfortably cruising towards the chequered. However, everything took a violent turn for him at the very end. Wallace was out front defending from his best friend Ryan Blaney.
However, after he decided to block the #12 car thrice, he found himself in a position no driver would ever want to. The very next moment, we saw Wallace veer to the lower lane and then wreck out, collecting others behind him. What was supposed to be Wallace’s moment turned into Kyle Busch‘s moment instead.

Once the race concluded, neither Wallace nor Blaney pointed fingers at each other for the accident. While Wallace shouldered the responsibility, Blaney expressed relief that everyone was safe, adding, “In my mind, when you execute a triple move like that, a triple block, you can’t block three times.”

Ultimately, if Wallace had refrained from attempting the triple block, the outcome might have been vastly different. Given that it was the final lap, there was a distinct possibility that we could have witnessed Wallace securing his third career win.

Such a victory would have undoubtedly been a historic achievement for Wallace. However, this would not have shielded him from the inevitable backlash from a particular fanbase, which is steadfast in its belief that every misfortune in the sport can be traced back to Wallace.
