Ross Chastain’s one-in-a-million video game move was so epic, that the entire motorsport community and fanbase took note of what he did at Martinsville. Even his fellow competitors in the Cup Series could not believe their eyes as to what they had just witnessed. A few drivers whose reactions stood out were, Bubba Wallace, and Chase Briscoe, however, Kyle Larson did not seem to be amused.

Kyle Larson said, “Surely NASCAR is going to have fun with that one.” Chase Briscoe mentioned, “That’s literally the coolest thing I’ve ever seen in my life.” Bubba Wallace exclaimed, “wow.”

Wallace’s one-worded reaction sure spoke volumes of what he might have felt while witnessing that firsthand. His voice sounded like he had never thought something like that was even remotely possible.

Drivers asked NASCAR to prevent the move in the future

While everyone was certainly pleased with that iconic move which has now cemented itself in the NASCAR history books, there were several drivers who later suggested that this move should be banned so that no one else foolishly attempts it and risks their lives, while trying to gain a seemingly unfair advantage.

Drivers such as Kyle Larson told the press, “I guess I’d ask you guys, what makes that not embarrassing? If you think that’s fair, why would you think that’s fair?”

Later, another driver, Joey Logano also reiterated Larson’s statement and stated that if drivers across the board find out that wall riding is possible, it might encourage others to try such crazy stunts. Sure this sort of move can be a safety risk and also looks a bit unfair to other drivers.

Both drivers then asked for the officials to make sure that such a move is not repeated and that it is enshrined in the rulebooks moving forward. While NASCAR on the other hand may not do any such thing at the moment, with just one race left. They surely will look into it come next season.
