Earlier, Ryan Blaney won the NASCAR All-Star Race at the Texas Motor Speedway. However, the win was a bit contentious as he appeared to win, then not win, and win again. As it happened, he crossed the finish line, but there was a yellow flag, courtesy of Ricky Stenhouse Jr. In light of his win, the likes of Chase Elliott, Denny Hamlin, and Bubba Wallace congratulated him.

Blaney getting a Wrangler win:
Under the impression that he won the race, he began to unclip his window netting. However, he soon got the call that the chequered flag had not waved. Now, the rule says that the window net needs to be secure during the race, so he hastily pinned it back up. From there, he continued the race and finally won it officially.
Hell he had to do some MacGyver stuff at 2020 Kentucky too lol. I do remember that race though 🤣
Glad he found a way to keep it up
A lot of fans also reacted to the bizarre scene and joked about it. They compared him to the popular character Angus MacGyver.

How did the race pan out for Ryan Blaney?
Barring that little hiccup, Blaney actually enjoyed a fairly decent race. It also doesn’t hurt that he has won a cool $1 million dollars. Behind him on the track were Denny Hamlin, Austin Cindric, Joey Logano, and Daniel Suarez in fifth place. Meanwhile, Alex Bowman, A. J. Allmendinger, Chris Buescher, Brad Keselowski, and Christopher Bell rounded out the Top 10.
If you can’t root 9, root 12. Forget the Underhill’s, the tab is on you this week @Blaney. Congrats dawg!

Apparently, Hamlin had some strong opinions on how NASCAR handled the final couple of laps. He insisted that there should never have been a yellow flag situation. Then, the officials kind of shot themselves in the foot by ‘allowing him to break a rule’, just to make it up to him.
