It is no secret that former NASCAR driver Tony Stewart is dating drag racer Leah Pruett. She is a well-known racer in her field and is fairly successful. In 2019, Pruett clinched the NHRA SAMTech Factory Stock Showdown championship and is the only female champion.

Now, the 32-year-old is preparing for a new season in the drag racing arena. This time, she will have the wholehearted support of Tony ‘Smoke’ Stewart. For Pruett, the Top Fuel Series kicks off this week and the former Stewart-Haas driver intends to fully support her.

Among her other accolades, Leah Pruett has won the 2010 Nostalgia Funny Car title in the NHRA Hot Rod Heritage Series. In addition to that, she has clinch 11 drag racing wins in her career. Around eight of them came in the Top Fuel series, and the other three came in the Pro Modified series. Furthermore, she boasts of a career-best time of 3.631 seconds, and a best speed of 334.15 mph.

How has Tony Stewart performed in his own career?

During his racing heyday, Tony Stewart has been pretty successful in the NASCAR scene. Aside from three Cup Series titles in 2002, 2005, and 2011, he also amassed 49 wins. In addition to that, he snatched 15 pole positions and 308 top 10 finishes. Admittedly, he has never won the Daytona 500, but has come close on two occasions.

Now, Stewart is preparing for the newly-formed Superstar Racing Experience. The SRX Series is the brainchild of Stewart and former team owner Ray Evernham. The series is set to feature six race events starting from June 12th onwards until July 17th. Obviously, Stewart himself is participating in the series, alongside several other well-known drivers.

Participants include IndyCar’s Helio Castroneves and Tony Kanaan. From the NASCAR world, there is Bobby Labonte, Willy T Ribbs, Bill Elliott, and Paul Tracy. Even ex-F1 driver Mark Webber has joined in on the fun. Safe to say, Tony Stewart and Leah Pruett will be fairly busy in the 2021 season.
