“I’m glad you had a blast, I’m p—– off right now. Dang it!” Joey Logano’s reactions after the 2025 All-Star Race are reminiscent of his other over-the-line emotions. Remember the 2024 Cook Out 400 race? After Austin Dillon dumped Logano to charge for the victory in Richmond, the Team Penske driver resorted to a barrage of insults and extremely risky antics on the pit road with his car. Similarly, NASCAR experts believe his All-Star Race reaction also went overboard.

‘Sliced Bread’ has anything but a clean reputation in the NASCAR Cup Series. Everyone remembers what happened at Talladega, right? “Way to go, Austin, way to go, you dumb f—! Way to f—— go. What a stupid sh–. You just gave it to him. Gave a Toyota a stage win. Nice job. Way to go. What a dumba–!” If these are his words for his teammate, imagine what the other team drivers would be subjected to! But things are different when a rival sweeps it clean past him.

Joey Logano’s obnoxious antics confuse the NASCAR world

Talk about prolonging an already poor perception in 2025. Joey Logano’s ‘p—– off’ antics hardly surfaced for the first time at North Wilkesboro Speedway. At the Jack Link’s 500 race, Logano’s volley of expletives on Austin Cindric for breaking a line of Fords raised eyebrows. Then Cindric went on to win the race, Logano incurred a penalty, and got immense criticism from fans. That derogatory trend seems to have continued into the All-Star Race, but no one’s to blame but Logano himself! The No. 22 Ford driver led for 139 of 250 laps, but Christopher Bell put up a fierce battle. Coupled with the competition caution where Bell restocked on two tires, Logano fell at a disadvantage by lap 241.

Christopher Bell responded to Joey Logano’s aggressive blocks with some hard-charging passes of his own. That is how the Joe Gibbs Racing driver ultimately overtook him and grabbed the million-dollar prize. However, Joey Logano swore to get back at Bell, and this retaliatory approach confused journalist Jeff Gluck. Gluck pointed out how it was a good race on a ‘Teardown’ episode: “Here’s Christopher Bell, he’s chasing down Logano…Logano has older tires, he is blocking his b— off…Very admirably, he is putting up a hell of a fight…I thought he drove Bell up the track a couple of times, he was making it as hard as possible for Bell to pass.” But, tides turned in the post-race interview.

Joey Logano‘s vengeful comments befuddled Jeff Gluck. Considering that Logano put up equally aggressive blocks and tried to shove Christopher Bell out of the way himself, his post-race wrath made no sense. Gluck said, “Logano was just sort of outraged or incensed that Bell had done this…What? Did I miss something? ‘Cause I felt like Logano raced him plenty hard, moved him up the track. I thought Bell raced totally fine.” Jordan Bianchi also agreed, stressing that Logano may have done worse things. “If the shoe were on the other foot, Logano would have done the same exact thing…I don’t know how you can be critical of how Christopher Bell raced. He raced you fair, he raced you hard. But he didn’t do you dirty, he didn’t push you into the wall, he didn’t spin you out.”

What’s your perspective on:

Is Joey Logano's aggressive style hurting his reputation more than helping him win races?

Have an interesting take?

Sliced Bread’s words indicated he was robbed of the victory. But it was all fair and square racing! “When you lead that many laps, you have the fastest car and a gimmick caution beats you, it just sucks. But it is what it is. You move on and be happy that we had the best car the last two times we’ve been here. Wish we had two wins, though,” he said. And now it feels like a few things are burdening him, one of them must be his growing impatience.

“I’m all about no gimmicks with the caution. I am all about that. I’m a little — me and Marcus Smith aren’t seeing eye to eye right now, okay? I’ve got to have a word with him,” he said in a strong voice as he smiled. But that just sounds obnoxious! Christopher Bell himself scratched his head in confusion after Logano posted his comments. The JGR driver became the star of the show after a short break this season. What is more, the ‘Teardown’ experts have been rooting for him for some time now.

Possibly the biggest star this season

When Christopher Bell first soared to victory in the Cup Series, Joey Logano was also there. At the Daytona road course race back in 2021, Bell toppled Logano’s lead with two laps to go to charge for the victory. Logano was interestingly, quite ‘p—– off’ at him back then as well. So a little frustration on his rival’s part will do nothing to stain the sterling reputation that Bell has accumulated to date. The No. 20 Toyota driver went on a fiery drive at the start of 2025, picking up three consecutive wins for the first time in the Next-Gen era. Across Atlanta, COTA, and Phoenix, Bell was like an unbeatable force. What is more, he has been consistent, collecting 8 top-tens and 6 top-fives already this season.

So, Jeff Gluck has been rooting for him for quite some time now. After Bell’s Phoenix win, Gluck declared, “He’s nailing it right now.” Jordan Bianchi also said that the No. 20 team’s streak “tells you one, how good he is, how good this team is, and just where they’re at right now. This schedule sets up so well for them.” What is more, Bell has sky-high confidence in his chances this season. “I’m just a small part of it. The last couple years, we’ve been close. Everyone on our team could feel this…It’s not about me. It’s about everybody on our team. So I haven’t changed as a driver. I’m the same driver that I was back in 2021. The team is working together right now. That’s what it’s all about.”

Evidently, it would take a lot for Joey Logano to dim Christopher Bell’s sparkle at present. As the season moves forward, let us see where the two rivals clash next.
