NASCAR Reveals Race Timings and Network Distribution For 2021 Season

The 2021 NASCAR season is kicking off in early February, starting with the Daytona 500. The stock car series recently announced the race start times and networks for all three categories.

As it turns out, Fox Sports and NBC Sports have the rights to air 23 races for American audiences. Additionally, Fox Sports will air 11 races, including the first seven Cup races, including the Daytona 500.

It is also worth noting that Fox Sports will also get a chance to air NASCAR’s first race on dirt since 1970. This will take place when the Cup Series touches down at the Bristol Motor Speedway. Meanwhile, NBC will broadcast 12 races, including the Cup Series‘ debut at Road America.

What about the NASCAR Xfinity and Truck races?

Moving to the NASCAR Xfinity Series, broadcasters will air five Xfinity Series races. This includes the maiden Xfinity race at the Talladega Superspeedway.

Other races include three consecutive NASCAR playoff races at the Charlotte Roval, Texas Motor Speedway, and Kansas Speedway. Additionally, the Martinsville Speedway plays host to the Xfinity Series and Cup Series races on consecutive evenings.

Finally, there is the Camping World Truck Series, which will have 13 races aired in 2021. This includes the first-ever NASCAR race on the dirt at the Knoxville Raceway in early July.

Furthermore, the Truck and Xfinity Series will share six day-night evenings. These include the Atlanta Motor Speedway, COTA, and the playoff races at Martinsville. Later on, a Saturday Truck and Xfinity double-header at the Texas Motor Speedway will set the stage for a NASCAR Cup Series finale.

The Texas Motor Speedway will also host the All-Star race for the 2021 season. However, one of the biggest compromises will be at the NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Watkins Glen International. Since NBC Sports is covering the 2021 Olympics, CNBC will pick up the slack and air the race at the Glen.
