Texas Motor Speedway Schedule and Tickets
The 1.5-mile speedway is packed with legendary memories. For instance, the first NASCAR Cup Series race there in 1997 only made it half a lap before a 13-car wreck commenced. Jeff Burton managed to escape a late-race accident and won with a 4.067-second lead. Then Dale Earnhardt Jr, a massive icon and spokesperson of the sport, won his first Cup Series race in just his 12th start as a rookie in 2000. But before we jump into the actual race, let’s talk about the essentials that you need to know.
The festivities will begin with the Craftsman Truck Series, which will practice, qualify, and race Friday at Texas. The Xfinity Series will practice and qualify for Saturday’s event. Lastly, the Cup Series will practice and qualify on Saturday for Sunday’s 400-mile race. Fans can head over to the official website of Texas Motor Speedway to buy tickets, which range from $16 to $238. For people eager to watch from home, they can tune in to FS1, MRN, PRN, The CE, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio. Journalist Bob Pockrass updated the information on X.

Well, a full spectrum of wild weather is expected at Texas Motor Speedway. On Friday, we might see scattered thunderstorms in the morning and cloudy skies later in the day. Winds from the north-northeast will blow at 10 to 15 mph. There is a 50% chance of rain. It’s expected to be 70 degrees with a 24% chance of rain by the start of the Truck race. The next day, clouds will linger for some time. But mainly sunny skies will be visible in the afternoon with a high of 77 degrees. Winds from the north-northeast will blow at 10 to 15 mph.
It’s expected to be 72 degrees with a 7% chance of rain at the start of the Xfinity race. Finally, the most anticipated race on Sunday may turn out to be the luckiest. It will be mostly sunny with a high of 78 degrees. Winds from the east-southeast will blow at 5 to 10 mph. It may be 75 degrees with a 6% chance of rain at the start of the Cup Series race.
Wild cautions and surprise winners are expected in the 2025 race as well. The last four Texas races produced 11 or more cautions, and there have been 8 different winners in the last 8 races.
The qualifying order of the Cup race is determined via a metric that combines the previous race finish by owner (70%) and current owner points position (30%). The entry list for the Cup Series race, the WÜRTH 400, is no less exciting. The Cup field will feature the expected 36 chartered teams with no driver changes. But at the same time, two open teams have also entered the event with the No. 66 of Chad Finchum (Garage 66 team), as well as Jesse Love in the No. 62 Beard Motorsports Chevrolet. Love, a two-time Xfinity Series race winner just as a sophomore driver, will turn heads as Texas marks his second Cup start. The Xfinity Series will feature Katherine Legge and Corey Day among its 40 entries, while the Truck Series will have Carson Hocevar as the special entry among 32 trucks.
