NASCAR to Give An Update on The 2020 Calendar This Week: Reports

NASCAR will soon publish some more news about the upcoming races of the 2020 season. According to recent reports, an update will be given as soon as this week.

Fox NASCAR’s Bob Pockrass reveals in a tweet. He said, “Have not heard when the 2021 schedule will come out but won’t be this week. An updated 2020 schedule should come out in the next 7-10 days.”

He was replying to a fans’ question about the 2021 schedule.

Details of the NASCAR-IndyCar Doubleheader

This weekend will mark a special occasion as it will be the first NASCAR and NTT IndyCar Series doubleheader. The two series will race at the prestigious Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Thus making this year’s Brickyard 400 weekend plan a jam-packed one.

On Saturday, the Indycar will join the Xfinity Series, which will hold its first race on the IMS street course. The Xfinity race will get two practice meetings before Saturday’s race. It will be the first occasion after NASCAR’s return when the Xfinity race will get a practice meeting.

After that, The bustling racing weekend will close on Sunday with the NASCAR Cup Series’ Brickyard 400. Additionally, Every one of the three races will air on NBC.

This year, the series will go to Bristol for the All-Star Race

After Indianapolis, the NASCAR will move to Bristol Motor Speedway for the All-Star race on July 15. Earlier, the race was to be held at the Charlotte Motor Speedway but was moved to Bristol amid the COVID-19 situation.

As the All-Star race is traditionally held on a short track the Bristol race will see some major changes in the format of the All-Star race. Additionally, for the race, we will some major changes in the design of the car. The car numbers will on the rear wheel instead of the usual door. And sponsors will be using the door location.

In recent years, NASCAR has been lenient with the teams on experimenting with the location of the car number. In ARCA, some teams are even racing with the numbers on the quarter panels, and many eNASCAR leagues are trying some innovative locations to place the number too.
