We are hardly over the Daytona 500 fever that ended last week. William Byron swerved into victory lane in a controversial finish, while his Hendrick teammate Alex Bowman barely missed his chance to grab his maiden Harley J. Earl Trophy. Fox garnered a lot of backlash due to their sloppy coverage. People were not convinced about the video footage confirming the Daytona winner. However, while fans are still recovering from the rage surrounding the Fox slip-up, and we’ve just gotten past the second cup series race only, another bomb was just dropped by NASCAR.

The American stock car racing series announced the date for next year’s Daytona 500.

According to a recent tweet by an insider, Jayski, “Daytona International Speedway announces the 2025 Daytona 500 will be held on February 16, 2025.”

William Byron made heads turn with his maiden Daytona victory this year. He darted from a video game kid to a raging NASCAR driver. “I’m just a kid from racing on computers and winning the Daytona 500,” said Byron, upon seizing his 11th Cup victory and Hendrick Motorsports’ 9th Daytona win.
