Almost 4 years after his Cup Series debut in 2020, Kaz Grala is taking on the responsibility of piloting Rick Ware Racing’s #15 Ford Mustang. The 25-year-old Boston native will be joining the #51 driver Justin Haley who parted ways with the Team Chevy to jump on board the Ford camp at RWR. Just weeks before the tournament commences, Grala has dropped yet another revelation, tweeting out a cryptic message to tease his followers about a new probability, hinting at a new update coming in the next few days.

Kaz Grala has “more news” for his fans as he teases more updates

“He’s an asset inside and outside of the car who will help make our program better,” Rick Ware had said about Kaz Grala after announcing his name for the 2024 season. Following his Cup Series debut at the road course in Daytona, finishing seventh in 2020, the young driver is making a return back to the Cup Series roster as he joins hands with the Ford-partnered Rick Ware Racing.

He is also the youngest racer in NASCAR history to win the crown jewel race at Daytona, acing the 2.5-mile track at 18 in the Truck Series race in 2017. While he has been juggling between the Cup, Xfinity, and Truck Series, this year the driver has his eyes set on the Cup Series gold.

Recently, the driver upped the ante once again, teasing a major update coming up the next day. Taking it to his social media, Grala noted, “I think I’ll put out some more news tomorrow,” with a cheeky smiling emoji at the end, hinting at a possible big announcement before his Cup Series commitment.  While we don’t know what the update might is, chances are high for it to be something exciting.

Looks like 2024 is surely going to be an exciting year for the young driver. Even his team owner Rick Ware seems to have put a lot of faith on the driver, which he recently talked about.

Rick Ware Racing announced on January 17th that Kaz Grala will be its anchor driver in the #15 car, driving its dark horse Mustang in 25 races including the pre-season Busch Light Clash at the LA Memorial Coliseum on Feb. 4. He will be paired with crew chief, Billy Plourde in the upcoming season. Compared to the team’s dismal last season where its driver, Cody Ware had his infamous run-in with the law that got him suspended from the promotion, Grala’s arrival into the Ford camp will certainly be a breath of fresh air.

While the driver believes he can “thrive” as an underdog, his boss, Rick Ware was also one to believe the same. In a statement, the team owner said, “Kaz Grala is a talented and tenacious driver who brings a lot to our race team. He has an incredible work ethic and leverages every opportunity to its full potential.”

Furthermore, the boss man mentioned how Grala’s presence will brighten the dull situation, saying, “Kaz is another crucial piece of our organization and for the same reasons we brought Justin Haley on board, we feel Kaz can also contribute immediately. Kaz wants to make a difference and, above all, he wants to perform. That’s the kind of drive and determination all of us have at RWR.”
