A few NASCAR drivers really like to test out their racing prowess at various different tracks and leagues. Other than the Cup Series, we often see the big names in NASCAR take part in dirt racing. A lot of ace drivers like Kyle Larson, Kyle Busch, and Joey Logano can be seen racing on these dirt tracks. Alex Bowman is another driver who has become fond of dirt races over the years. While he is not new to it, he was recently involved in a crash that had fans worried.

Hendrick Motorsports driver crashed into Morrell Collide

Alex Bowman and Conner Morrell had a nasty crash during High Limit Sprints At 34 Raceway. A video posted by FloRacing on YouTube showcased the whole incident and its aftermath, which wasn’t pretty at all. In the commentary, the reporter and others are heard discussing what exactly happened between the two.

They said, “I can tell you the cleanup is gonna be massive over here outside turn number one. Connor Morrell with the helmet off talking to officials, but that sprint car chassis is completely bent in half.”

“I mean, the entire engine is exposed, the underbody bent like a banana, just a little bit including some of the down tubes on the left side.”

“So Conor Morrell’s car completely taken apart and then if we turn around. Let’s see… Alex Bowman has climbed out of his race car they’re gonna put it back on the hook.”

The horrible crash had fans worrying about the drivers

This horrifying incident had a lot of mixed reactions from the fans. Some fans were just happy that both drivers were not hurt. A few others thought bumping and wrecking is kind of Bowman’s style in racing. While some fans even questioned if it was because of the new sprint car that takes damage easily. 

“Glad to see all are ok, way to hang Tuff you guys, keep on Rollin.”

“Damn, what a bad crash”

“Glad everyone is OK.”

“Morrell came down hard. Too much speed, not enough skill. You hate to see it.”

“I was there by the end of the night morrells car was a bre frame in a pile of scrap it was junk”

“Brand new sprint car series and two major wrecks, maybe certain things should be re-evaluated”

“Alex doing Alex things…”
