Chase Briscoe and Austin Cindric are currently in the middle of a playoff battle in the Xfinity series. Heading into this weekend’s race at Las Vegas, Briscoe is at an advantage. This is because NASCAR’s qualifying formula places him on pole position.

The 25-year-old still has his work cut out for him because Austin Cindric is starting alongside him. Justin Allgaier, Ross Chastain, and Harrison Burton, are right behind those two, thus completing the top five.

Noah Gragson, Brandon Jones, Anthony Alfredo, Riley Herbst, and Justin Haley comprise the top 10 for Las Vegas. Meanwhile, Brandon Brown, Ryan Sieg, and Michael Annett have some work to do if they want to stay alive in the playoffs.

Briscoe is currently chasing after his eighth win of the season. He won the last race at the Bristol Motor Speedway, which gave him a leg up in the pole position battle.

Heading into this race, Sieg, Brown, Annett, and Herbst are in the most vulnerable positions. However, the likes of Jones, Haley, Burton, and Chastain are in just as much danger.

Jones, Haley, and Burton have the advantage of race wins under their belt. Unfortunately for Chastain, he does not have that luxury, so this race is important for him. The good news is that he is in the top four, so if he can get a good start, and get past the leaders, he should be in with a shout.

Briscoe has a good track record at Las Vegas since he won the 2020 Boyd Gaming 300 earlier this year. He also recently had a win at Bristol. This was a factor in him securing pole.

One cannot rule out Austin Cindric, who has five wins under his belt. In terms of his Vegas track record, Cindric has the highest finish of second, again at the 2020 Boyd Gaming 300. Now, he will be keen to reverse the order. There will also be other drivers out to stop the top stars from winning.
