New season, same old story, Hendrick Motorsports and co. are dominating. Or are they? This is something that is just as much true as it isn’t true. After all, barring Chase Elliott, the trio of Kyle Larson, Alex Bowman, and William Byron have all won a race in the total five so far this season.

Because in what we’ve seen so far this season, you’d have to pay a good buck to find someone who hasn’t been entertained. From exciting, unpredictable racing to new race winners to big upsets, this season is delivering on all fronts.

So the monopoly of Hendrick isn’t what it looks like.

Although now that we’ve touched upon Hendrick’s dominance and entertainment, one thing Rick Hendrick’s team does have a monopoly on, is being the subject of the best memes,  particularly the ones based on the Fontana incident between Chase Elliott and Kyle Larson.

NASCARCASM, the parody account, has now almost made it a running joke that has resulted in some of the most hilarious pieces of NASCAR meme material you’re ever likely to come across.

Albeit winless, Chase Elliott isn’t having that bad of a season as one might assume

The son of Awesome Bill from Dawsonville is yet to open his win tally this season, something which is casting a big shadow on him, and how he’s looked at in his team from an outsider’s perspective.

But here’s the real deal, Chase Elliott isn’t having that bad a season as many are thinking.

In fact, his doubters would be quite surprised to see that the 2020 Cup champion is having the best season amongst all the other NASCAR drivers. This is because the No.9 driver is leading this season in terms of points and standings.

So winless he may be, Chase Elliott is in a better position than many are giving him credit for.

Of course, he would want to win, and his fans would want him to win. But hey, it’s the one race that he needs to win to win the championship.
