Yes, that’s right. Cabre had tweeted earlier, “Yeah the Tulsa Shootout is tough, but the toughest part is getting the transponder on with duct tape.” This is something his girlfriend poked fun at him for.

She replied, “I don’t understand how someone can be so good at wrapping cars, but the moment one 12in piece of duct tape needs to be put on the car it’s impossible.”

Hailie Deegan expressed her excitement ahead of the shootout

Recently, Deegan had described how her 2022 experience at the Shootout would be her second technically, but her first as a racer. This is because last year she was a mere spectator while Chase Cabre competed.

“I was there, and it’s weird as a racer going to a race and not actually racing,” she said. Deegan added how last year’s learning experience from the sideline should make the current one “a lot more fun.”

But along with this being her first appearance at the shootout, what makes it even more special is the fact that she is competing with her own car, her own trailer, and her own money. Deegan said, “In my racing career, I have a lot of pressure on me to perform whether it is just average people, from sponsors, or people on my team.”

“To be able to come out here in my own car and have fun, learn, and do the best I can is really nice.”
