“At 4:30 He Calls Me…” – Michael Jordan’s Chilling First Words to Bubba Wallace Sent Shivers Down his Spine

Michael Jordan was regarded as the greatest of all time when it came to the world of basketball. So after watching his documentary, his team’s driver, Bubba Wallace described how he was able to feel Jordan’s “win now” mentality the first time he had a conversation with the legendary former NBA player. Wallace also mentioned how Jordan’s mentality reflected in himself after a certain point.
During a podcast interview, Wallace stated, “My first encounter with MJ was on the phone. Denny Hamlin had texted me, ‘hey are you free around four o’clock today?’ I’m like yeah sure. So four o’clock rolls around, if you know Denny he’s usually a couple of minutes late. So it’s about 4.30 he calls me and he’s like, ‘Hey what are you doing?’ I was like just sitting here messing around with my phone.”

He added, “He was like, here’s somebody that wants to talk to you. I had no idea MJ, no idea where he was at that time and you just hear, ‘Hey, if we do this deal, there is no more running in the back alright?’ I’m like who is this? And I was like, oh that’s MJ. So that was my first encounter with talking to MJ and so, I know he’s all business, and so am I. I’m excited about it.”

Wallace stated that his mind had changed drastically after watching the documentary on Michael Jordan titled, “The Last Dance.” He then goes on to explain how and in which aspect did he gain from.

Wallace continued, “My mentality changed when I watched the ‘Last Dance.’ It’s like okay, alright, I see, I see what I need to be as an athlete. If I wanna reach these goals this is what I want to be like. I mean, you put that no fear and put the fear of god and everybody else mentality, okay, that’s what you gotta have, and hearing stories about MJ and like I said, he has people from his camp being a part of this team.”

He concluded, “Craig Robinson got to meet him, talk with him, he said, for his motorcycle team he would sit there on the grid and watch certain drivers and riders and be like look at the way he’s walking, he don’t want it, he don’t want it, he ain’t got it. The Last Dance, is a documentary based on the iconic Chicago Bulls and Michael Jordan. Apparently, a film crew followed the team and Jordan around and shot footage as they took on the season from beginning to end, depicting their greatest lineup. The documentary also focuses on Jordan from his high-school days all the way to stardom.
