His show, Race: Bubba Wallace, featured his struggles as he gave an interview on Eauweb, where the reporter asked him, “Considering the history of this sport, how concerned were you that fans or other drivers might try to physically harm you?”
To which Wallace interestingly replied, “I wasn’t worried about physical harm. If anything I’ve gotten to see peoples true colors. And that’s good because I keep my circle small and I wasn’t looking to add anybody. The physical harm never crossed my mind. When I’m frustrated I’ll find something to bring me back to some sort of normal capacity before I start seeing red. I’m just having fun and trying to keep things lighthearted all of the time.”

What really is interesting is that he specially mentions “The physical harm never crossed my mind”, after he said, “I’ve gotten to see peoples true colors“. Because, a few months after the interview, Wallace was the one who harmed another driver.

Larson and Wallace were racing when the #5 pushed the 23XI Racing car a little wide, causing him to hit the wall. But the #45 car reacted by going down and hooking the Hendrick Motorsports driver.
But he didn’t stop there. He then got out of his car to shove the 2021 Cup Series Champion, too. Naturally, he got a lot of criticism, along with a one-race suspension.
