In a recent update on Twitter, the 23XI Racing team shared the status of the building’s construction. Sharing pictures of Airspeed, the post was captioned, We are still adding the finishing touches to Airspeed, but night mode. Look out for updates on our socials on all of our progress and when we’ll open our doors to welcome fans!“.

The Michael Jordan and Denny Hamlin-led project is a multi-utility building. The facility will house approximately 12,000 square feet of commercial office space. It will also have a total of 300 apartments and a hotel with 120 rooms as part of the development. Additionally, Airspeed will have a sleek lounge area where team members can gather to strategize, analyze race data, and share stories. The walls of the lounge are to be adorned with iconic moments from racing history. There will also be an engine bay for mechanics to work, and a dimly lit trophy chamber to showcase the team’s winnings.

Airspeed also plans for a unique concept of a simulator lab with rows of high-tech simulators, each replicating a different track. Bubba Wallace, the team’s driver, sits in one, hands gripping the virtual steering wheel. The project also includes a mural sharing a nod of respect for the legendary NASCAR driver stretching across an entire hallway. At the top of the building, an open-air deck offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.

Fans react to Airspeed’s update

Airspeed would be open to fans upon completion of the building’s construction., This created waves in the NASCAR fan community as they seemed excited. This is evident from the comments on the 23XI Racing team’s recent tweet.
