While addressing the issue of the booing and calls, Bubba Wallace said that it is always difficult to defend yourself from such hatred. Moreover, he said that other drivers like Kyle Busch too commit mistakes and endure such booing. However, that doesn’t feel the same.

During his conversation in an episode of All the Smoke, he said; “Kyle Busch still gets the most boos, but you know his is different. You know, my shit is like more personal right. And so, it sucks.”

Bubba Wallace is the only African-American driver to win a race at one of the highest levels of NASCAR since Wendell Scott. And initially, he garnered massive support for his performances in the series. However, over the years, a set of incidents and controversies cropped up.

For starters, the noose incident at the Talladega Speedway attracted a lot of backlash for Michael Jordan’s 23XI Racing driver. Moreover, following Wallace’s demand to ban the Confederate flag from NASCAR, the then president Donald Trump posted comments against the driver. In fact, the Donald Trump-funded author, Nick Adams also has posted hate comments against Wallace several times.
