Bubba Wallace assaulting Kyle Larson still has all the press attention despite it being over two weekends ago. Shockingly, there has been a new revelation that shows how Denny Hamlin bore the brunt too after Bubba Wallace was fined $1 Million. But there is a good reason why Michael Jordan and his team did what they did.

Believe it or not, Hamlin was told to get out of the 23XI Racing building.

Unfortunately, Wallace’s move on Larson was in the middle of the fight for drivers to enter the Championship 4 in Vegas of which he was also a part.

Last weekend in Martinsville, Hamlin was one of the top contender to qualify for the final shootout at Phoenix. However, Ross Chastain’s move, which could only be described as outright insane but in a very awesome way, took him out of contention.

Denny had full intentions of finally shedding his reputation of being the best driver without a championship. And 23XI Racing recognized that as they made him get out of the building and forget the Bubba-Larson fiasco to focus on his championship.

Denny explained, “23XI told me to get out of the building for the next two weeks and go concentrate on getting a championship for myself.”

Unfortunately, the last lap and a dangerously fearless move by the watermelon man took the hope he worked so hard for.

Of course, Hamlin was quite disheartened after he worked hard to maintain his position to enter the final 4.

Team radio showed the conversation they had at the end of the race.

Team: “Watch the 1 outside of you here, outside, outside outside, outside.”

Hamlin: “I guess we just lost on that?”

Team: “Well, I’ve never seen anything like it but, Bell wins. He’s in. And the 1 Hail Mary-ed the fence in (turns) 3 and 4 and got it. Wow.”

Hamlin: “I did all I could do, Chris.”
