Consistency is the key factor in racing. Whether one is a budding driver or a seasoned veteran of the sport, consistent performances can have resounding effects on one’s career. One such driver is Ricky Stenhouse Jr of JTG Daugherty Racing. The #47 driver has had far more consistency than anybody on the field for spinning out of control despite being in the elite division for 12 seasons.

While the 36-year-old was one among the 4 drivers who were knocked out of the tournament in the first eliminator in Bristol, the next few races were a complete disaster for him. Sunday’s 4Ever 400 in Miami was also not so different. With the driver yet again spinning out of control, NASCAR nation was left in splits after NBC pulled off a quick and unexpected troll on the driver.

NBC leaves fans in stitches after trolling Ricky Stenhouse Jr live on TV

If Kyle Larson has a thing for consistent race-winning performance, so does Denny Hamlin. The JGR veteran has an itch for controversy and when it comes to JTG Daugherty Racing’s Stenhouse Jr, he has a thing for spinning right off the track at the least expected moments. His awful performances have made him the subject of unapologetic trolls and memes from the community.

In fact, the driver owing to his bleak performance has an embarrassing nickname as fans dub him, “Wrecky Stenhouse Jr.” While the driver is a capable racer who won the season’s Daytona 500, his recent outings and miserable races have him on the back foot. Sunday’s race in Homestead-Miami was also not so different.

Coming off of turn 2 of the mile-and-a-half track, Stenhouse Jr made contact with the wall in the 77th lap of the race which sent him for a brief. The #47 Ford came too wide, getting himself in the wall, and a broken toe link owing to the brief contact only worsened the situation as he went for a spin while fans were caught off guard by NBC’s quirky troll.
