“Leave me the f**k alone, dude. Don’t talk to me the whole f*****g race.” This is what a frustrated Bubba Wallace told his crew chief during the race at Nashville Superspeedway.

The 23XI Racing driver subsequently found himself in the circle of criticism (more than usual) for what he said, and the words he used.

But if his spotter, Freddie Kraft, is to be believed, this was coming. The frustrations were boiling up after a season full of mistakes from pit road that let the #23 down, this was coming.

“I’ve been with Bubba forever. 13 years now or whatever it is. Never in my life, I’ve heard him talk to anybody on the radio the way he talked last night,” Kraft said in a recent episode of the Door Bumper Clear podcast.

He described how this time around, Wallace had the “right state of mind”, a car that was “hauling a**”, and still, the win got taken away from his hands, again after what happened in Sonoma.

“It’s just like, ‘Holy s**t. What do I have to do to get a break in this deal?'”

Bubba Wallace has his moment of glory coming

The spotter also called the critics unfairly “jumping on” Wallace as “frustrating” to see because of the radio message. Kraft believes what happened was not normal.

“This is uncommon for Bubba. This is not normal Bubba, it’s just him finally reaching a breaking point of, ‘I’ve had enough of this s**t,'” he said.

After empathizing with his driver’s outrage on the radio, Freddie Kraft went on to claim that Bubba Wallace, despite the bad luck and the low odds, will have his moment soon.

“It’s coming. We have enough speed that we’re gonna be fine. It’s just that you got to stick it out,” he added.
