But even if he hadn’t done so, anyone would’ve still noticed the missing element. Anyway, as it turns out, his tooth was bound to give up sooner or later, at least that’s what his explanation explains.

Burton wrote, “For everyone wondering I broke my tooth as a little kid and the glue holding it together decided to give out last night eating dinner. Perfect timing for our @IMSA race today!”

As a result, some of his colleagues from the NASCAR community trolled him in the comments.

This is something Burton admits is “a big responsibility”, carrying the legacy and doing it the right way. He described why external pressure doesn’t really affect his mentality.

“I think all drivers want to be the winner. We all want to do the best we can and I think that personality is the same with Wood Brothers and we’re all aligned with our goals,” he said.

It gets back to his demeanor and his willingness to learn,” team co-owner Eddie Wood said. “He just seems to really fit in with everyone. I think he brings some energy that only youth can bring. I’ve seen it before and there’s just something special about a kid that’s 20 years old just getting started and already driving race cars.”
