Hendrick Motorsports (HMS) is right at the top of the list of NASCAR’s premier and elite teams that have taken part in the sport. Founded in 1984, the side has grown in stature since fielding its first car back in the early 1980s.
The organization will proudly put out a strong lineup of four cars in 2021. Chase Elliott, Kyle Larson, William Byron, and Alex Bowman are all set to be the torchbearers of the team, with the former looking to put up a staunch title defense next year.
But what is fascinating to note is that since 1986, HMS teammates have all won at least one race per season. According to a post on the team’s official Twitter handle, this feat has now stood for 35 continuous years. Undoubtedly, this is an all-time record for any team!

Of the 263 Cup Series wins that HMS has since its inception, 93 have been secured by the legendary Hall of Famer Jeff Gordon. Seven-time Cup champion Jimmie Johnson occupies the next place in the list with 83 wins.
Incidentally, the partnership between the two drivers throughout the 2000s is what paved the way for the team to become a large powerhouse in the sport. Gordon also contributed to the team’s success in the 1990s with four championship titles of his own.

HMS would certainly be pleased with the rest of their roster’s performances as well. For instance, Byron achieved his first Cup Series victory in 2020, taking home the Coke Zero Sugar 400 race win.
Bowman, on the other hand, won the 2020 Auto Club 400 race in California. However, Jimmie Johnson failed to win a single race in his final season with the team.
