The reason for his love is pretty fascinating, though.
In a Livestream interview with David Gravel, Larson talked about everything from his newborn son to the Chilli Bowl. There are certain elements of the track that make the racing at Pennsylvania fun too, and the champ went into detail about it. He added, “You did the locked down fast throughout, you know, hotlabs qualifying heat race, and you’re like, Man, this is gonna be a dud of a feature. And then go out there and throw more water on it before the feature. Pack it down with the water chucks like, gosh, you’re throwing like 30 tear-offs on and then it blows dust in like five laps. And it’s just a difficult track to keep up with, so I like it a lot. It races well.”
So, would you go see Larson run a few laps at Grandview? Let us know in the comments.
