NASCAR Launched the ‘I am NASCAR Podcast’ in June 2021 along with The Athlete in collaboration with Dale Earnhardt Jr. The series continues throughout the NASCAR season, with new episodes coming out monthly. Brandon Marshall, the host of I am Athlete said “This is a great opportunity for us to give IAA fans a look into a totally different area of the sports world and share our experiences on the race track,” after being approached by Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Although, Dale jr. first reached out after the Bubba Wallace episode when the co-host stated their opinion that NASCAR drivers aren’t real athletes. Which then, prompted him to reach out to them and give them a chance to learn more about the sport.

To which Marshall said, “Being out there with Dale was a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience I never could have imagined,”. He then added, “Hopefully people watching will see us pushed outside our comfort zones, and be inspired to do the same in their lives. We really learned so much from being on the track and talking to these drivers about what it takes to do what they do. I can’t wait to keep exploring this world on IAA and beyond.”
Of course, the Podcast soon picked up, with shows later featuring Kyle Busch and even the pit crew.
