Denny Hamlin has surely been known for his enjoyable moments during his younger days. But like everyone, with age comes responsibilities in life. Recently, while having a conversation with former NASCAR and IndyCar driver Danica Patrick, Hamlin stated how his lifestyle from his younger days have changed over the years.

Hamlin said, “Back in my day, I’ve partied enough for many lifetimes, but now that I got a couple kids it’s just, things are different now, you know. It’s just my days start earlier, I have Meetings every single day that start earlier, and yeah I just, you know by the time I get the kids put to bed or we get the kids put to bed it’s done time for me.”

Aside from racing in the Cup Series with Joe Gibbs Racing, Hamlin also co-owns the Cup Series team, 23XI Racing along with NBA legend Michael Jordan. Considering having two teams on his plate, the pressure and workload must occupy most of his days.

Denny Hamlin and Danica Patrick’s Relationship

Back in the time racing together in the Cup Series, the pair were considered to be really good friends.

They even had a now infamous confrontation after the 2015 Daytona 500 race, where Danica was upset with Hamlin and grabbed him by the shirt and had an intense conversation with him. Thankfully the argument did not escalate as Hamlin remained calm and composed and helped Patrick understand the situation. But a wild Tony Stewart was present listening to the argument only to leave after taking a dig at Hamlin to sum up his off track entertainment.
