“Pressure Is Kinda My Middle Name” – Bubba Wallace Ready to Live up to Michael Jordan’s Expectations

It is no secret that Michael Jordan is a hugely ambitious person, and that was the point of setting up his NASCAR team. Speaking to CBS, his driver, Bubba Wallace, said, “Pressure is kinda my middle name and I guess that I’ll have to deliver the best that I can. I think I perform well under pressure.”

Wallace even cited the drama that took place off the track. Despite that, he still stitched together some incredible races. In the end, he is excited to get the backing of Denny Hamlin and Michael Jordan. With the former, he can learn from and continue to improve at each race.

How will the Bubba Wallace-Denny Hamlin relationship change?

According to Hamlin, the dynamic will be difficult, since they are also on opposing teams. This kind of situation has never arisen in the past couple of decades. However, he insisted that they will remain as competitors first and win for their respective teams.

In the end, Hamlin’s best interest is to go out on the track and win for his team. The 23XI Racing team is practically a long-term investment and a look at what Hamlin will do when he retires. When he does hang up his boots, he will obviously take on a larger role within the team.
