The NASCAR Playoffs are well underway and the 12 remaining drivers are battling for survival. Recently, Chase Elliott spoke to FOX Sports about the Playoffs and feels that he would probably crash at the Talladega Speedway.

He confessed that he is not thinking about racing in Talladega just yet. Obviously, he hopes that that will not be the case when next week rolls by. He said, “The way I look at it is, I’m probably gonna crash. Anything more than crashing is just icing on top.

“So I’m gonna go into this weekend and really focus on Vegas. I’m not gonna dwell on next weekend yet. We have a whole race here in Vegas to try and perform and get a win and move on the right way.”

Elliott admitted that it is now time to perform better in the stage races. This is why it is highly important to have good runs throughout the race duration. He noted that his own stage results at Richmond and Bristol were good, and it helped him through the Playoffs.

On the subject of Vegas, it also helps that Chase Elliott is starting the race in 3rd. He will be right on Kevin Harvick and Kyle Busch’s tails for this weekend’s race.

At the same time, he has to be wary of Aric Almirola and Joey Logano in 4th and 5th. Even the other drivers in the playoff battle are not to be underestimated either.

Overall, he is expecting a good battle, and 3rd place on the grid offers him a chance of sneaking in a win. For that to happen, he must stop the runaway Kevin Harvick and the 2nd-placed Kyle Busch.
