In the coming week, Kyle Larson is set to run in the Chili Bowl Nationals. However, he will not be the only NASCAR driver in the dirt race. One of his biggest rivals will be Christopher Bell, who is a former Chili Bowl winner. Larson knows that Bell is an excellent driver and he showered him with praise.
Speaking about Bell to Fox Sports, he said, “Definitely in a Midget, he’s better than me. You can just look at his stats in Midget in the past four-five years probably. His average finish has to be like 2 or 3, it’s crazy how often he wins. When it comes to Midget, he is probably the best I’ve ever seen.”
The 28-year old also confessed that while it was great to see a driver of Bell’s caliber, it does ‘suck’ a little. Larson even recalled admitting that Bell was better than him, though his team tried to convince him otherwise. According to Kyle Larson, Bell has proven his statement in the Midget scene.

What else did Kyle Larson say?
Larson also acknowledged that Bell has defeated him in winged sprint cars. He insisted that the two of them were pretty equal, so it was hard to choose between them. This is especially difficult in NASCAR terms, because their equipment is so different. However, the dirt surface is more of an equalizing factor as it tests the drivers’ skills behind the wheel.
Now, Kyle Larson, Christopher Bell, and a handful of drivers are looking forward to the coming weekend. Earlier, the Tulsa Shootout concluded, with the winners getting a step closer to the Chili Bowl Nationals.

Larson and Bell are past winners of the Chili Bowl event, so they should be the favorites. However, one can never say never in motor racing, as anything can happen in the blink of an eye.
