REVEALED: Special Fan Made Paint Scheme of Ryan Blaney for the Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona

NASCAR is very popular for its car liveries. In some cases, drivers run some bizarre liveries and they often drive a car scheme that fans recall for eternity. And Ryan Blaney in association with Bodyarmor is the most recent one to try a bizarre livery.

These days teams have been including fans in the process of picking the scheme for the upcoming races. It’s a great thing as fans additionally get the opportunity to experience the world of NASCAR from an insider’s perspective.

The 26-year-old Team Penske Ford driver is currently in his 3rd season with the team. He has only won a single race this season, which was the GEICO 500 at Talladega superspeedway.

Over the course of a few weeks, fans had the chance to pick which BODYARMOR car livery Team Penske’s Ryan Blaney would run on his Ford in the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series season finale at the Daytona International Speedway on Saturday, August 29th.

Ryan Blaney is really happy with the partnership and the relationship with BODYARMOR.

BTF reports, “I’ve been with BODYARMOR for three or four years now,” he said. “Really doesn’t feel like three or four years, but I have a really cool relationship with those guys.

“They’re great people. … It’s been a pleasure to go visit them when we can and see their growth. It’s just been a really great relationship, and really how the Pick the Paint deal got set up is just we wanted fans to literally do what the promotion says, pick what paint scheme we were gonna run in the regular-season finale at Daytona.”

Ryan Blaney to drive a Strawberry Banana scheme car

The fans were given three choices for the livery of #12 Ford Mustang Racecar. The three choices in this “Pick the Paint” advancement were Orange Mango, Tropical Punch, and Strawberry Banana.

The regular-season finale is BODYARMOR’s last race of the year as Blaney’s sponsor. The team will enter the race with the Strawberry Banana car scheme.

The driver himself wanted the Strawberry Banana scheme and is happy that his fans chose this particular livery.

“Strawberry Banana won. I had a small feeling that it was gonna win, I know everybody, on Twitter, I saw a lot of strawberry bananas. I thought that car turned out pretty cool so it’ll be interesting to see how it looks under the lights.

“It’s a really bright car. It’s a graffiti schemed car so it’ll be pretty wacky but it’ll definitely stand out, which is what we were going for.”
