Denny Hamlin is doing it all. However, in spite of these accomplishments and initiatives, it seems like Hamlin feels dominated by Ricky Stenhouse Jr. But no, not in NASCAR.

While talking about Sunday’s Daytona 500 champion Stenhouse Jr on his podcast Actions Detrimental, Denny Hamlin shared some insights on the golf league he runs. Moreover, he also said that he and Stenhouse Jr are great friends, primarily because of his involvement in the Golf Guys Tour.

During the conversation, Denny Hamlin revealed that the recent Daytona 500 champion is actually one of the best golfers in the Golf Guys Tour. Furthermore, he said that Ricky Stenhouse Jr has actually won three championships to date, adding, “We have a Stableford format and Ricky is now…I think he is a three-time champion of the Golf Guys tour which just drives me crazy.

I won it twice. Kyle Larson has won it once…But Ricky has taken over the title of best NASCAR driver-golfer. “

Denny Hamlin Explains what Golf Guys Tour exactly is

Now, everyone knows that Ricky Stenhouse Jr is a Golf Guys Tour champion. However, for anyone wondering what exactly the league is, here’s what Hamlin shared.

“The Golf Guys tour is basically the golf league that I run as well. Which is mostly filled of people in the NASCAR industry who enjoy playing golf. So, the way we work it out, we play about eight events a year and we have a point system. We all work off a handicap.”

Apart from this, Hamlin shared that except for one player, Brian Williams from South Charlotte, almost all Golf Guys Tour winners were NASCAR drivers. In fact, Bubba Wallace, one of Hamlin’s drivers at 23XI Racing, won the debut tour back in 2021. And since then, Hamlin, Stenhouse Jr, and Larson have been clinching trophies in the invitation-only tour consisting of the 21 “most frustrated amateurs.”
